New Pieces, New obsessions, New Tampa.

I've been on a Tim Berne kick. His music breaks many windows, if you know what I mean. I drift over thoughts of myself and a few other filthy musicians rolling from town to town, in a van as beat up as our credit, splattering such melodic fragments over the earth.

The gusto!

To bring myself down to earth, I purchased some graph paper to satiate my ultra-formalist tendencies. I'm imagining a kind of fractal piece, where the greater form is equal to the lesser sections, in an ever changing, unpredictable way. I've also been fascinated with making music out of living programs - the kind that model the evolution of life. Much research is to be done!
My mantra these days: Daddy Longlegs of the Evening: Hope!

It's refreshing to see that free jazz fanatics are alive and well on the net.

On the pop music side:

I learn so much this way, and it's too bad there's much less of this going on for modern classical music.

Tonight I'm digging on some marketing noise: Purple Cow. Interesting ideas, but I distrust market land.

Speaking of whitch:

Bassoon Duet.
Orchestra music
Hugo-Nots Album

and more videos once I've saved for my camera.
